Today, 1st grade students started learning all about parts of a plant in the STEM Lab. We also looked at seeds from different plants and tried to match the seed to the plant. The time in the STEM Lab ended with every student taking home a kit to make their own Grass Head Guys and Gals! The students love to plant the grass seeds and watch them grow. They can see the root system through the cup too! The best part is when the grass gets long enough to trim!! Continue to water and place in a sunny spot and the grass will grow and grow!
