Today in the STEM Lab we continued our discovery of the properties of light by taking white light (from flashlights) and separating it into the colors of the rainbow (visible light spectrum). This is a fun activity that can be done at home. All you need is a flashlight, CD and a dark room. Shine the light on the shiny side of the CD, moving the CD into the light until a rainbow appears. The students also made kaleidoscopes.
The most fun part of their time in the STEM Lab was when they were able to make a rainbow appear on their friend's face.
