Today was launch day for the Toilet Paper Tube Rockets. The students did a great job. They really enjoyed seeing everyone's rocket launch. We talked about laws of force and motion as they were launching. After the launch we had an opportunity to discuss why some rockets flew better than others, and what changes we could make to this project. Pictures of the "Farthest Flying Rockets" were taken, and the pictures show the excitement that the kids felt from their victory.

2nd Grade students have learned all about force and motion. We are putting their knowledge to the test with a fun STEM Activity. Students are designing and building their own rockets out of toilet paper tubes. The rockets will be sent flying the next time they come to the STEM Lab. Look for pictures and an update of how far the rockets flew. |
