Last time students were in the STEM Lab, we learned all about the parts of an egg. Today, we talked about the strength of an egg shell. Egg shells are super strong from end to end. So strong....that they will hold up a 2nd grader!!!!
No eggs were harmed in this demonstration! Addison, spent the day as my Lab Assistant (thanks to the wonderful Rocky Mount Foundation auction). Students then began planning to build a helmet for their eggs. The helmet is going to protect the eggs from FALLING SCIENCE BOOKS!!!

Mrs. Guckert is the STEM Lab Teacher at Rocky Mount Elemetary. This is her 4th year teaching at Rocky Mount. The STEM Lab is fully funded by the Rocky Mount Elementary School Foundation. This program would not be possible without the generous donations to the Foundation from the Rocky Mount community.
